This final episode in support of Roadmap honors Monica's longtime friend, Adam al-Sirgany! As one of the final editors of Roadmap, Adam was the original influence for bringing the character of Dorian from How to Exterminate the Black Woman to Roadmap.
This episode honors Monica's husband, Robert Barkley II, and his support of Roadmap's revision and eventual publication.
This installment pays homage to the women of color education collective Black Girl Bliss and their book Pussy Prayers; adrienne maree brown and their collection Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good; and Sunny Brooks and her company Soulful Vibes Co. Learning pleasure greatly influenced Roadmap's revisions!
Join Monica for her sabbatical by writing a poem every day from August 26-December 6!
