In FORCE: A Choreopoem, meet Victim, Survivor, and Whore—three Black women reeling from recent and repeated rapes, fighting through turbulent recovery journeys. Is Victim really a victim if she’s still alive? Is Survivor her only identity after multiple violations? Is Whore just a reckless survivor? FORCE interrogates if this prevailing rape culture norm is true—it’s going to happen again—and how to keep going if it’s false.

FORCE: A Chorepoem is the fifth installment in the Prince Choreopoem Universe, a series of choreopoems, published and unpublished, circling the question, Who is responsible for the Black woman's safety? Following the roots laid in Testify with Jada, watered in Something to Keep Me Vertical with Kathryn, weeded in How to Exterminate the Black Woman with Angela, and transfered to the soil in Roadmap with the Novelist, FORCE is the most personal of the Prince choreopoems. Directly addressing rape and the "after," this show reminds its audience that every ending isn't happy—but by God, aren't we still here?
